Softball Recap: Graford Comes Up Short

After flying high against De Leon last Tuesday, Graford came back down to earth. The Rabbits fell 5-1 to the Lipan Indians on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rabbits of the 11-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Graford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Perry has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played. Another was Savahannah Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Graford's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lipan, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Graford will welcome Santo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lipan, they are taking a road trip to take on De Leon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
