Basketball Game Preview: Southside Seahawks vs. Princeton Bulldogs

The Southside Seahawks will take on the Princeton Bulldogs in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Princeton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Southside, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 15 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Southside turned things around against North East Carolina Prep on Friday. They walked away with an 84-74 win over the Husky. The Seahawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Southside had a senior duo take command as Josh Armstrong posted 29 points and Jeremiah Satchell earned 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Armstrong has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ameear Randall, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Princeton came up short against Rosewood on Friday and fell 51-42. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Southside, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5.
