Softball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

Amphitheater lost against Thatcher back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Amphitheater Panthers lost 22-1 to the Thatcher Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Talisa Yrigolla made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Thatcher, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amphitheater will face off against Walden Grove at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th. Amphitheater has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Thatcher, they will challenge Blue Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thatcher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
