Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

King's Academy and Half Moon Bay squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but King's Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

King's Academy came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25, 18-16.

Shuwen Jin and Michaela Wu certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Jin had 33 digs, while Wu had seven digs and two aces. Wu is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Half Moon Bay, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-16.

King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Half Moon Bay, they will head out to take on Scotts Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
