Volleyball Recap: East Central Hornets vs. West Harrison Hurricanes
East Central proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the West Harrison Hurricanes 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.
Jenna Harris paced East Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Harris got some help from Lila Gerrie and her 27 assists. Gerrie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.
When it comes to explaining why West Harrison lost, don't look at Payten Clark. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and one assist. Invie Kennedy also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
