Wahoo had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennington Badgers. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Wahoo lost on Thursday, don't look at Dylan Simons. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. Landon Fye was another key player, putting up nine points.

Austin Kaiser had a dynamite game for Bennington, going 9 of 18 on his way to 34 points along with six boards and three steals. Kaiser's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Fitzgerald, who had nine points.

Wahoo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-39 win against Aurora on the 7th. As for Bennington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-49 victory against Crete on the 7th.
