MaxPreps 2014-15 Florida Boys Basketball Fab 5 presented by the Army National Guard

1. Montverde Academy
2013-14 record: 28-0
Head coach: Kevin Boyle

The Eagles have been crowned national champions by at least one media outlet each of the past two seasons and will be a popular pick for preseason No. 1 again. 247Sports Composite top prospect Ben Simmons (6-9, Sr., F, LSU verbal commit) was MaxPreps' National Junior of the Year in 2013-14 and will lead a loaded Montverde roster that features seven players 6-foot-7 or taller.

2. Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville)
2013-14 record: 30-5, SIAA champions
Head coach: Rex Morgan



The backcourt combination of Jahshire Hardnett (6-0, Sr.) and Lamonte Turner (6-2, Jr.) should be sensational. They will be joined up front by Spanish import Yankuba Sima (6-11, Sr., C), Brazilian Tulio Da Silva (6-8, Sr., F), Malik Hicks (6-6, Sr., F) and Mario Kegler (6-7, Jr., F).

3. Oldsmar Christian
2013-14 record: 16-9
Head coach: Jordan Fair

Oldsmar could make national waves in 2014-15. The Eagles have at least a half-dozen Division I prospects on the roster, led by Wyoming pledges Justin James (6-7, Sr., G/F) and Andrew Moemeka (6-8, Sr., F).

4. Oak Ridge (Orlando)
2013-14 record: 19-10, Class 8A regional semifinalist
Head coach: Alex Jackson



Six of Jackson's top seven players are back from a year ago. Headlining that list is Antonio Blakeney (6-3, Sr., G), who averaged over 25 points per game as a junior and is a Top 25 2015 prospect. Providence commit Alex Owens (6-8, Sr., F/C) gives the Trojans size and strength in the paint.

5. Evans (Orlando)
2013-14 record: 24-8, Class 8A runner-up
Head coach: Chucky Atkins

The Trojans will be retooling around their top two scorers from a year ago in Kerry Blackshear (6-8, Sr., F/C, Virginia Tech verbal commit) and Courtney Williamson (6-6, Sr., G/F).
