Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Andalusia Bulldogs. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Andalusia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Hillcrest won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Excel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Andalusia will take on Straughn in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
