Baseball Recap: Chilton County Tigers vs. Boaz Pirates
There's no place like home for Chilton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Boaz Pirates on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Joseph Sims was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.
