Basketball Recap: Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Piles Up the Points Against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren-Alvarado-Oslo). They claimed a resounding 85-53 victory over the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators. Given the Ponies' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Gators are ranked 379th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren-Alvarado-Oslo will host Sacred Heart at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they will square off against Stephen-Argyle Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
