Borger falls despite big games from Kaeden Jennings and Tahqulin Brooks

The Borger Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 19th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pampa, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, Borger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1162nd, while Pampa is ranked 422nd).

Borger's loss came despite strong showings from Tahqulin Brooks and Kaeden Jennings. Brooks dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Jennings scored 11 points along with two steals. That was a full 39.4% of Borger's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Borger's defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Pampa, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9.

Borger will square off against Dumas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dumas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Pampa, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
