Softball Recap: Oliver Springs Takes a Loss

Oliver Springs was the 9-5 winner over Wartburg Central when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 10-9 on Wednesday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hannah McKinney and Addison Griffith stepped up to the plate in a big way. McKinney got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI, while Griffith went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That triple was McKinney's first of the season. Emmeline Patton was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Oliver Springs' loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Wartburg Central, their record is now 11-8.

As of now, neither Oliver Springs nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
