Basketball Game Preview: Aiken Falcons vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons challenge the Golden Eagles on Saturday. One thing working in Aiken's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Aiken is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ross by a score of 72-61. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth in Ohio, while the Rams are ranked 272nd in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaiden Arnold, who went 8-for-12 en route to 22 points and seven assists. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antwan Hinton, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 19 points.

Meanwhile, Bellbrook entered their tilt with West Carrollton on Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 67-59 win over the Pirates. 67 seems to be a good number for the Golden Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Bellbrook's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Aiken, their victory bumped their record up to 23-1.
