Soccer Game Preview: Ellison vs. Chaparral

The Ellison Eagles will square off against the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellison is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Ellison's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belton on Friday. While losing is never fun, Ellison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 783rd, while Belton are ranked 274th).

Meanwhile, Chaparral kept a clean sheet against Lake Belton on Friday. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for Chaparral in their matchups with Lake Belton: they've now won three in a row.

Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2. As for Ellison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Ellison might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Chaparral when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
