Softball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Takes a Loss

Shenandoah Valley came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Williams Valley Vikings, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Shenandoah Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Williams Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shenandoah Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Marian Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Williams Valley will challenge rival Weatherly at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Vikings' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Weatherly have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
