Softball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers vs. St. Thomas More Sabers        
        
		
            Paxton-Buckley-Loda came into Monday's   match having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the St. Thomas More Sabers 14-4 on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

 Aubrey Busboom made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits. Those  12  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Paxton-Buckley-Loda let  Hallee Johnson and  Devani McClatchey run wild. Johnson  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs, while  McClatchey  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. McClatchey also put up a  double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Addison Lavender, who  went 2-for-5 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Paxton-Buckley-Loda  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Paxton-Buckley-Loda's  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 4-20. As for St. Thomas More,  they are  on  a  15-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-15.
 Paxton-Buckley-Loda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  11-0  defeat against Salt Fork on the 15th. As for St. Thomas More, they have also already played their next contest,  a  17-1  victory against Heritage on the 13th.
