After a string of eight wins, Blue Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Snowflake Lobos by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Yellow Jackets have suffered since February 28th.

Brenton Newcomb made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Chee, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Blue Ridge's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Snowflake, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge will face off against Round Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Elks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Yellow Jackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Snowflake, they will venture away from home to challenge Estrella Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
