Smithson Valley is 6-1 against Veterans Memorial since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Smithson Valley Rangers will challenge the Veterans Memorial Patriots at 7:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Smithson Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five games. As for Veterans Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15-1 record this season.

Smithson Valley beat Veterans Memorial by a goal in their previous matchup back in February, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Smithson Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
