Recap: Slidell Tigers vs. Fontainebleau Bulldogs
The Slidell Tigers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Fontainebleau with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. Given Slidell's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Fontainebleau is ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jaden Hookfin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Bonnaffons, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Slidell is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Fontainebleau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-13.
Slidell will head out on the road to square off against Northshore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Slidell is coming into the game with seven straight victories on the road, meaning Northshore will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Fontainebleau, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loranger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
