It was a good run, but Madisonville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Palestine Wildcats, falling 5-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Madisonville's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 22-3. As for Palestine, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5-1.
