Softball Recap: Albemarle Drops Highest Score of Season Against Thomasville

Albemarle's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over Thomasville. Albemarle's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Albemarle's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Thomasville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, Albemarle will welcome Union Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thomasville, they are taking a road trip to take on Salisbury at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
