Basketball Recap: Vincennes Lincoln Takes a Loss

Vincennes Lincoln lost against Castle back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vincennes Lincoln Alices lost 56-32 to the Castle Knights. While losing is never fun, the Alices can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Knights are ranked 35th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Scott, who posted 19 points along with six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabell Grantz, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Vincennes Lincoln has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Castle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Vincennes Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-50 loss against North Knox on the 25th. As for Castle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-31 win against Evansville Bosse on the 27th.
