Softball Recap: Franklin Community Comes Up Short

Franklin Community fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Whiteland on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzly Cubs in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Bryleigh Carlisle-Haltom spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Franklin Community now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Whiteland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.
