Volleyball Recap: Yuma Takes a Loss

Yuma was the 3-2 winner over Holyoke when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Outlaws took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Saturday.

Lindsey Hermosillo paced Yuma's offense, picking up four kills. Hermosillo got some help from Bailey Nighswonger and her four assists. Nighswonger also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Berkley Nighswonger, each putting up two.

Yuma's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Holyoke, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Yuma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Otis on the 27th. As for Holyoke, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against McClave on the 27th.
