West Valley has gone a perfect 4-0 against Monroe Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack will look to defend their home field against the Rams. West Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Wasilla, who was ranked sixth at the time (West Valley was ranked 18th). The Wolf Pack took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday.

Hudson Wixom was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those runs were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Monroe Catholic had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Houston by a score of 12-11 last Thursday.

West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Monroe Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went West Valley's way against Monroe Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, as West Valley made off with a 7-1 win. Will the Wolf Pack repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
