Volleyball Recap: Hudsonville Wins High-Profile Match Against Lowell

Hudsonville faced Lowell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Red Arrows by a score of 2-0. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

The win didn't come easy: Lowell scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Maggie Szlachcic paced Hudsonville's offense, picking up eight kills. Szlachcic got some help from Sofie Sanders and her 22 assists.

Hudsonville's victory bumped their record up to 20-6-1. As for Lowell, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-7-2.

Looking ahead, Hudsonville will challenge East Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lowell, they will welcome Sparta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
