Basketball Recap: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints lost to the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers on the road by a 82-63 margin. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Tigers are ranked 82nd).

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

While Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
