Halstead put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Smoky Valley Vikings 11-1. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Kaci Young made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, Thea Boese was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. Hayla Cooper was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Halstead hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.

Halstead's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Smoky Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Halstead beat the Vikings by a score of 16-1 later that day.
