Basketball Game Preview: Floyd County Buffaloes vs. Auburn Eagles

The Floyd County Buffaloes will venture away from home to face off against the Auburn Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Auburn took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Floyd County, who comes in off a win.

While Buffaloes fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They took down Blacksburg 71-56 on Tuesday. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Auburn came up short against Cave Spring on Wednesday and fell 58-46.

Floyd County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Auburn in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with an 85-81 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
