Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.).
The Warriors were up 7-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter.
Gordon Central expanded its lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. GC scored once in the quarter on a touchdown catch by
DJ Prather.
The loss snapped the Warriors' 4-game winning streak.
MJ Reynolds played well for the Calhoun school in the victory. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 24-17 win for the Warriors.
The loss comes after Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe defeated Adairsville 24-17 last week.
Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (4-1) goes up against Cartersville in a AAA Region 5 game matchup next week, while Gordon Central (5-0) locks horns with Coahulla Creek also in a AAA Region 5 game.
