Fitch dropped their record down to 8-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats by a score of 8-7. As for Norwich Free Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.

On Norwich Free Academy's side, Dakota Bourdon was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bourdon has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
