Volleyball Recap: Alani Bailey and Isabella Bowen Secure Win for Durant

Durant waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Morgan Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Durant was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-11.

Leading Durant to victory were Isabella Bowen and Alani Bailey. Bowen had 15 assists and seven aces, while Bailey had three aces. Those seven aces gave Bowen a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Durant was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Durant's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Morgan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Durant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tampa Bay Tech at 7:00 p.m.
