Soccer Recap: General McLane Comes Up Short

The matchup between General McLane and Cathedral Prep on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Lancers lost 7-1 to the Ramblers. Things were pretty much settled by the half as General McLane were already down 6-0.

General McLane has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Cathedral Prep, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

General McLane and Cathedral Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Lancers will face off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (94 vs. 209). Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep (ranked 16th) will meet Fort LeBoeuf (ranked 73rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
