Pueblo County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Roosevelt Roughriders get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. The Hornets are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 17 straight.

Not much got past Blake Swift, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Roosevelt off the board. Swift has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

Pueblo County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive contests.

Pueblo County's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Roosevelt, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 19-6 record.
