Volleyball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

If Skyline was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mesa two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes lost 3-0 to the Westwood Warriors on Monday. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Skyline took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Clara Lopez paced Skyline's offense, picking up five kills. Lopez got some help from Elianna Bancroft and her 14 assists. Finally, Jordan Seiuli kept Skyline's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 18-15.

Skyline has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Dobson on the 16th. As for Westwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Red Mountain on the 15th.
