Volleyball Recap: Wakeland Find Success

Wakeland won the last time they faced Coronado and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolverines walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Thunderbirds.

When it comes to explaining why Coronado lost, don't look at Difanny Soltero. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and one block. Another player making a difference was Alexa Rincon, who had ten digs and one assist.

Wakeland's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Coronado, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Wakeland and Coronado will both be playing Odessa the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Bronchos at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Thunderbirds will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
