The Spanish River Sharks's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on the Palm Beach Central Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Palm Beach Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Spanish River, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Spanish River didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Seminole Ridge, but they still walked away with a 27-23 victory.

A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Champ Smith and his top target Blake Wallace. Smith threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes while Wallace picked up 171 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Spanish River also got a significant boost from Tarrel Ocean, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.

Spanish River wouldn't let Seminole Ridge keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Dominick Pacheco-Bates, Cole Cooper, and Channing Miller picked up one apiece. Pacheco-Bates' also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss). Another thorn in Seminole Ridge's side was Evan Wiltse, who picked up a sack, made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Central came up short against West Boca Raton on Thursday, falling 28-7.

Spanish River pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Palm Beach Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
