Softball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Rancho Buena Vista never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Mission Vista. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in April.

The result came thanks to Danica Nielsen's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tiaira Richardson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Allison Keusch, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win snapped Rancho Buena Vista's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-11 record. As for Mission Vista, they dropped their record down to 5-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Rancho Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Vista, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent on June 25.
