Softball Recap: Santa Fe Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

While Santa Fe's victory against Archie wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chiefs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Whirlwinds 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Santa Fe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Archie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Coming up, Santa Fe will head out to challenge Concordia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Orioles have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. Archie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
