Granite Hills is 9-1 against Helix since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. Granite Hills will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Friday, Granite Hills got the win against Valhalla by a conclusive 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Trevor Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single hit in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other pitching news, Scott Russell looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Back at the plate, Tommy Entrekin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Anthony Miotti, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Helix made easy work of Grossmont on Friday and carried off a 12-3 victory. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Foothillers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Matt Martinez looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rory Kleiner, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Helix kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grossmont only managed seven hits.
Granite Hills pushed their record up to 16-0-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Helix, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Granite Hills hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Helix struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
