Baseball Recap: Groveton Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Groveton won against West Sabine on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Indians walked away with a 6-3 win over the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

CADE WHITE was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was DAX PARKER, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Groveton pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Corrigan-Camden, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Groveton will welcome Oakwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will host Hemphill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
