Baseball Recap: Chequamegon Comes Up Short

If Chequamegon was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Ladysmith last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Screaming Eagles came up short against the Cameron Comets on Monday, falling 15-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Screaming Eagles have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Chequamegon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cameron, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chequamegon will head out to square off against Phillips at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Cameron, they will challenge Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
