Softball Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

Parker was the 11-3 winner over Carver Montgomery when they last played one another back in April of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Thundering Herd fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The Thundering Herd have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooke Moss was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssia Buckhana, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Carver Montgomery, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Parker beat the Wolverines by a score of 11-2 later that day.
