Basketball Recap: Northeast Early College Takes a Loss

Northeast Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lago Vista Vikings, falling 77-8. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1455th, while the Vikings are ranked 714th).

Northeast Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lago Vista, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Early College has already played their next game (against LBJ Austin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lago Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastside Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Lago Vista's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Eastside Early College has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
