Baseball Recap: Lower Lake Comes Up Short

Lower Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 6-2 to The Bay School Breakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lower Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Hartman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Hartman scored this season.

Lower Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for The Bay School, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Lower Lake will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fort Bragg at 4:00 p.m. Fort Bragg's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Lower Lake's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for The Bay School, they will head out on the road to square off against Healdsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
