Lincoln Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Maxwell Wildcats with a sharp 10-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Caleb DeWitt made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. DeWitt was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.
