Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Lennox Academy's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Lennox Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brentwood School Eagles. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 14-5.

Emily Estrada and Michel Estrada stepped up to the plate in a big way. Emily got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Michel went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lennox Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Brentwood School, they moved to 5-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Lennox Academy will welcome Animo Leadership at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztec Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.57 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brentwood School, they will challenge Crossroads at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
