North Putnam is a perfect 4-0 against Brown County since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. North Putnam is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

North Putnam is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Covington on Saturday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 8-2. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brayden Chew was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Brown County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 13-9 to Waldron.

Jade Woolems made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Kody Shugars was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Putnam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Everything went North Putnam's way against Brown County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as North Putnam made off with an 18-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
