Basketball Recap: North Valleys Panthers vs. Sage Ridge Scorpions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Damonte Ranch, North Valleys was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They breezed by the Sage Ridge Scorpions to the tune of 74-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Kaden Shackelford was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7 for 12 en route to 24 points plus six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah White, who went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points plus five rebounds and two steals.
North Valleys was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sage Ridge only racked up nine.
Despite the loss, Sage Ridge still got an impressive performance from Taylor Sullins, who went 6 for 11 en route to 17 points plus three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raghav Bhalla, who earned eight points.
The victory got North Valleys back to even at 1-1.
North Valleys will welcome North Tahoe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sage Ridge has already played their next game, a 60-47 win against Truckee on the 5th.
