Softball Recap: South Glens Falls Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

South Glens Falls dropped their record down to 12-2 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Hudson Falls Tigers by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in April.

Kylee Craft was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Aubrey Hay was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Hudson Falls, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.

On Hudson Falls' side, Madalyn Dudley was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave Dudley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Strong, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Coming up, South Glens Falls will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gloversville at 4:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are facing the Huskies/Dragons at the right time seeing as the Huskies/Dragons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Hudson Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Amsterdam at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.62 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
